Introduction to Theoretical Physics (2 volumes)

 Author:

Price: £25.00

A translation of the 3rd and 4th editions of Haas's 2-vol. work Einfuhrung in die theoretische Physik that was first published in 1919 and which was considered right up-to-date.  Haas is credited with thinking of the quantisation of orbitals before Bohr.  The second volume describes in particular: quantisation, X-ray diffraction, theory of spectra, thermodynamics and both special and general relativity, all subjects that were at the centre of the revolution in Physics at the time.  Haas was Professor of Physics in Vienna and hence very well placed to keep abreast of developments in the first quarter of the 20th century.
