1. These terms and conditions apply to the use of the Reid Books website at www.reidbookstore.co.uk  If you continue to browse and use this website and/or place an order with us, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions.
2. We may revise these terms and conditions at any time by updating this page. The date and time of the latest update will be displayed at the head of the page. You are advised to check this page from time to time, particularly before placing an order, to review any changes that may have been made.

Access, Registration and Privacy

1. You will be able to access most areas of this website without registering your details with us. Certain areas of the website, however, are only accessible once you have registered and logged in. In particular, this applies to your account details and the checkout process.
2. Before placing an order with us, you will be required to register with us and provide sufficient personal details for us to be able to process your order.
3. All personal data will be treated in the strictest confidence, as defined in our Privacy Policy.
4. Once you have registered, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and you agree to accept liability of all activities that occur under your account. Should you require to change it, the website provides a utility for changing your password.

Ordering from us

1. You are deemed to place an order with us by ordering via our online checkout process. As part of our checkout process you will be given the opportunity to check your order and to correct any errors. We will send you an order acknowledgement, detailing the products you have ordered.
2. Our acceptance of an order takes place when we change the order status to pending. We will send you a despatch confirmation by email.
3. We may refuse to accept an order:
   • where goods are not available;
   • where we cannot obtain authorisation for your payment; or
   • if there has been a pricing or product description error.

Pricing

1. Our prices do not include VAT as we are not registered for VAT.
2. Packing, carriage and insurance (where requested) are charged separately. Details of these charges will be specified during the checkout process and a description of the options available is given on our Shipping and Returns page.

Cancellation and Returns Policy

1. If you wish to cancel your order:
   1. you can notify us by email to info@reidbookstore.co.uk before we have dispatched the goods to you;
   2. or, if goods have already been dispatched to you, by returning goods to us in accordance with clause 2 below.
2. In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with goods you have ordered from us, you can return any item(s), requesting a full refund, subject to the following conditions:
   1. You must contact us within 7 days of receipt of the goods, to let us know what item(s) you will be returning.
   2. If you are returning an item because it was damaged in transit, please save the packaging and provide us with a full description of the damage, including, if possible, a photograph of the damaged packaging.
   3. The item(s) being returned must be despatched back to us within 14 days of your receipt of the goods.
   4. Upon receipt of the goods we will give you a full refund of the amount paid, including the cost of delivering the goods to you.
   5. If you are returning the an item because of an error on our part, or the goods were damaged in transit, we will also refund the cost of delivery charges incurred by you, provided these are agreed with us in advance of your dispatching the goods back to us; in all other circumstances, the costs of returning goods to us shall be borne by you.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

1. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with United Kingdom law.
